Multi-access-Portals offers a new opportunity to develop a business model with a mix of charging methods to create profitable revenue-streams from the offered services.  With services on the Mobile Internet Portal infrastructure, a mix of the charging methods can be applied.  Applications on the portal infrastructure can create charging record logs that would be provided to Service Data Records (SDR) Gateway in SML format if preferred, thus offering a choice of charging various methods.

The existing services are migrated and made available from the portal; therefore they do not have to create Charging Data Records (CDR) through the portal.  Existing services will continue to generate CDR as before.
